I must apologize for not keeping up with this blog. Slowly I'm getting back to feeling creative again. Not much going on here. We just recently finished up a couple of stained glass panels that will be going in some kitchen cabinets. We delivered them to Seneca MO a couple of weeks ago. (Not trusting UPS) Here's some pictures of the panels and the custom cabinets that they'll be going into. The guy on the right in the first picture is my brother-in-law Robert. He owns Seneca Cabinets. The one on the left is my hubby Chuck.
With the help of my hubby Chuck, we're making etched stained glass leaves for a sculptural tree that my brother-in-law is building. Been making some jewelry and hope to get back to the torch real soon. I miss making beads. Even though we have a furnace in the shop, it's still too cold in the glass shop to work comfortable on lampworking unless I use a space heater for a few hours. All that glass sure holds on to the cold for a long time.

It's been a while since I posted here. Some really sad things have happened since I last entered in my blog. My youngest sister Regina has lost her battle with bone cancer. She died on January 8, 2007 at 8:20 AM in a hospice care facility. She was 43 years old. She fought for 2-1/2 years after being diagnosed. She leaves behind a 12 year old son that will be taken care of by one of my sisters and her husband. I'm really going to miss her. She was more than seven years younger then me. My older sister and I practically raised her along with my parents. She was like my baby. I fed her, changed her, bathed her, potty trained her, read her stories, and worried about her when she fell ill with kidney failure at the early age of 13. She got a kidney transplant when she was 20 years old and it lasted 14 years. Long enough for her to have a baby. She was back on kidney dialysis for several years. Then cancer struck and we knew that we weren't going to have her much longer. I'm grateful for the time we did have.

Today marks the one year anniversary of my Father-in-laws passing away. We really miss him. It's been a rough year for my mother-in-law, who's health is deteriorating. I don't want to ever imagine being without my hubby, especially if I were as ill as she is. Anyway, we're taking her to visit the gravesite today. Chuck, my hubby, is finally going to put some kind of headstone to mark his grave. It's taken him so long to figure out what to put on the marker. He's a sand carver so you know he didn't want to pay someone else to engrave the headstone. Yes it'll be a solemn day today. But I hope yours is more cheerful.

What a drag having to keep your house absolutely spotless just incase the realtor will call. Well I gotta admit, I do love seeing it clean, but it throws me into this obsessive crabby b***h when I see something on the floor that I just mopped!!!
I hope everyone had a great and wonderful productive weekend. Mine was busy
with a lot of little things. I actually made some lampwork beads yesterday. I
started a set and I can't wait to see what the kiln will give me today. I also made some earrings (two pair) with some new beads
I found at Hobby Lobby, and started to make a nice beaded necklace.
Yesterday morning I found it partially dismantled on the floor in my foyer. ONE
OF MY CATS!!! I think it was Visa. She was sitting next to me on the counter
while I was making it and I kept having to fight with her not to chew on the
bead cord. But I wouldn't put it past Buddy, my other cat, either. He has more
of the kitten in him. He's just a little over a year old. I guess I'll start the
necklace again, but this time I won't forget to close the door to my bead
closet.
Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

What a pain! I'm redesigning my main website. and I'll be working on it
little by little. I have The J.
Savina Collection website too, so check it out. You'll find some one of a
kind jewelry pieces, lampwork beads and even some Kiln-formed cabochons.
Right now I don't have any Ebay auctions or listings, but hopefully soon.
My Etsy store is loaded with all
kinds of goodies. Jewelry, my Geo-Mazing designs on bookmarks, a couple of
lampwork bead sets too.
We're selling our home & shop. We're hoping to build a bigger shop and a little
smaller home. Anyway, my realtors did a great job listing our house on-line.
Check it out.
